I was raised to believe that anything was within reach. My parents supported our intellectual curiosity, athletic endeavors and never fell into the paradigm that raising daughters meant that they should be raising us to be demure and self-effacing. As a result they raised two ardent feminists with strong political opinions. There is no better time to be a passionate and fierce female than now. For me this means doing my best to support and advocate for gender equality and my passions for women’s rights and early childhood education.
